On December 3, 2021 passed away Jadwiga Halinska, my wife and best friend, mother of Martyna, Milosz
and Krzysztof.
She was the kind spirit of our business since its inception. Every time when I reached exhaustion and
wanted to give up correcting a project before handing it to printers, her soft and kind voice would give
me new strength and motivation to work until completion. At one point, in secret and without help, she has
learned to use rapidographs, improvised a print preparation table using three panes of glass propped up
on cabinets and illuminated from underneath with a night light. She then began learning print preparation,
a difficult process of defining sequence of application of color onto print surface. Her talent quickly
became apparent and she took over that entire process from me. The fruit of her labor can be admired on models
F4J Phantom (KA 5-6/95), Mi-24D (1-2/96), Richeliu, Hood and others. Besides print preparation she was also
correcting text and preparing models for shipping.
We always went to the printers together because Jadwiga would often find printer's mistakes that I would
completely miss. She also had a wonderful eye for colors. She was wholeheartedly dedicated to her work.
When the digital design replaced rapidographs she continued to correct text, verify print samples etc.
I cannot stress enough how much influence she had on the evolution and progress of paper models.
She was a person with a big heart and strong personality. She was kind to everyone, well wishing, eager to help people in need, even those she did not know and encountered for the first time. She was the soul and heart of our family and the business we built together over decades. For our children and myself she was a teacher and a guide through the windy roads of life.
It is a loss I will never get over but I thank God that I was blessed to go through life with such a unique and wonderful woman.
